Typically large-scale commodity coffee sold at low prices with no minimum price guarantee for the farmer, who receives $1.60 /pound, or
4 cents a cup.
Sourced directly from small-scale coffee farmers and guarantees a minimum price per pound for the farmer, who receives
$2.40 /pound, or 6 cents a cup.
OK, that's great, but how much does the farmer actually make?
Our farmers received $9.42 per pound of coffee sold in 2015. Further, as the owners of Pachamama, they earn 100% of the company's equity value.
