CONVENTIONAL

Typically large-scale commodity coffee sold at low prices with no minimum price guarantee for the farmer, who receives $1.60 /pound, or 4 cents a cup.

FAIR TRADE

Sourced directly from small-scale coffee farmers and guarantees a minimum price per pound for the farmer, who receives $2.40 /pound, or 6 cents a cup.

FARMER-OWNED

Small-scale farmers now own and control the roasting, branding and distribution of their best coffee, receiving more than $9.42 /poundor 24 cents a cup."
